Ad Astral Podcast, Episode 28:

February 29th-Shownotes

Submitted by DJ Burnham on Monday 29th February 2016

(February 29th was written in June 2005 on the Greek island of Kefalonia. It first appeared in written form on Silverthought.com.)

The idea for this story started with me thinking about my friend Maurice Hunter (who played Commander Xyton in Episode 2: The Radical Intergalactic Travel Agency) whose birthday is 29th February. Was he 15 years old when he reached 60? No. But it presents a strange situation, which few us have to content with. The idea of enhancing intelligence and brain capacity has bounced around in Sci-Fi for a long time, but I thought I'd give it a twist by introducing an alien žSleeperÓ. I couldn't leave it there though, so your next task is to listen to Part 2 of the story: The Tree of Ubiquikin.

The original artwork shows the final transformation of Jiva with her cranial display.
