Skála

Skála is the biggest resort in the south east, at the foot of the mountains with a forrested headland.

The beach is several kilometres long, a sand/shingle/pebble mixture - you might want to wear neoprene shoes/jellies, but I managed without.

There's plethora of watersports, sunbed & umbrella hire and rows of tavernas/hotels along the beach road.

Very tame, friendly sparrows are keen for the odd scrap, hopping about with their beaks open, panting to keep cool.

Early evening a shepherd sometimes brings his goats onto the beach for a snack.
