1927 Grand Eagle Ball

Perchance I slipped into reverie,
Transported by spirits and nymphs,
That dwell midst the hills and valleys,
In the grooves of shellac.

And she,
Sylphlike Arthurian vision,
Galadriel's twin sister,
Firefly of mellifluous delight.

And yet,
Unlike a dream,
Who's memories slip through fingers like sand,
My recollections glow with rich insistence.
